TimberRaven Now Offering American Red Cross CPR & First Aid Certification Starting September 2026

By TimberRaven Critical Response LLC on

TimberRaven is expanding its clinic lineup with American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications for adults and pediatrics, launching September 2026.

At TimberRaven Outdoors, we've built our reputation on preparing people for the moments that matter — the trailhead that turns into a rescue scene, the routine drive that becomes a recovery operation, the backcountry hike that suddenly requires life-saving intervention. Now, we're proud to expand that mission with a new offering that brings essential emergency response training into the workplace, the classroom, and everyday life.

Starting September 2026, TimberRaven will offer American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications — covering both Adult and Pediatric first aid — as a permanent addition to our clinic lineup.

Why We're Adding Red Cross Certification to Our Clinic Lineup

Our students have consistently told us the same thing: they want serious, nationally recognized credentials taught by instructors who actually understand what emergencies look like in the field. The American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification is the gold standard for safety compliance across virtually every industry in the United States. It's what employers ask for, what OSHA recognizes, and what schools, athletic organizations, and childcare facilities require.

By bringing this certification in-house, we give our community a single trusted source for both wilderness-oriented preparedness training and the workplace-compliant credentials that keep careers moving forward.

What the Certification Covers

The American Red Cross CPR and First Aid program is a comprehensive, hands-on course designed to prepare participants to respond confidently to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies. Our clinic offerings will include:

Adult CPR & First Aid

  • Recognizing and responding to cardiac arrest in adults
  • High-quality chest compressions and rescue breathing
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) operation
  • Choking response for conscious and unconscious victims
  • Bleeding control, shock management, and wound care
  • Recognizing signs of stroke, heart attack, and diabetic emergencies
  • Burn treatment, fracture stabilization, and environmental injuries

Pediatric CPR & First Aid

  • CPR techniques specific to children and infants
  • Pediatric AED use and modifications
  • Infant and child choking response
  • Common childhood injuries, allergic reactions, and illness recognition
  • Age-specific bleeding control and wound management
  • Fever, seizure, and poisoning response

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive an American Red Cross certification valid for two years — the same credential recognized nationwide for employment, licensing, and compliance requirements.

Who This Certification Is For

The short answer? Nearly everyone. The American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification is the standard for safety compliance across a huge range of professions and roles, including:

  • Workplace safety officers and employees required to meet OSHA compliance
  • Factory, warehouse, and industrial workers in facilities that require designated first responders
  • Teachers, coaches, and school staff responsible for student safety
  • Childcare providers, nannies, and daycare workers who need pediatric-specific certification
  • Personal trainers, camp counselors, and youth program leaders
  • Outdoor guides, trail crews, and adventure sports professionals
  • Parents, grandparents, and caregivers who want the confidence to respond when it matters most

If your job description mentions safety, if you work with kids, or if you simply refuse to be the person standing frozen when someone needs help — this course is for you.

Two Ways to Get Certified

We understand that no two students walk in with the same schedule, budget, or objectives. That's why we're offering the CPR and First Aid certification through two flexible pathways:

Pre-Scheduled Classroom Sessions

Individuals can register for open-enrollment classroom sessions held on a rolling schedule at our training facility. There is no seat minimum — if you sign up, the class runs. This makes it easy for a single teacher, a parent, or a solo professional to get certified without waiting for a group to form or scrambling to fill seats.

Private Group Clinics

For companies, organizations, sports teams, church groups, school staff, and community organizations, we offer private group clinics. These sessions can be scheduled at your location or ours and can be tailored to focus on the scenarios most relevant to your workplace or activity. Group clinics are the most efficient way to get an entire team certified in a single day, and they're a smart investment for any organization looking to meet OSHA requirements or simply raise the safety baseline of its staff.

The TimberRaven Difference

What sets our certification clinics apart isn't the curriculum — that's standardized by the American Red Cross and it's rigorous by design. What sets us apart is who is teaching it and how we teach it.

Our instructors bring real-world experience from first-responder backgrounds, wilderness rescue, and high-consequence outdoor environments. When we teach bleeding control, we're not just reading from a manual — we're drawing on the same principles that guide our wilderness survival and first-responder outdoor clinics. When we talk about pediatric emergencies, we're speaking from experience with kids in unpredictable environments.

You'll leave with more than a certification card. You'll leave with the confidence that comes from being trained by people who genuinely understand what emergency response looks like when the stakes are real.
